To my fellow LOLers,
I apologize I’ve been absent of late.
There’s no excuse only to say that I reached near exhaustion around July 4th. I’d been working hard for 18 straight weeks on the podcast. Lots of late nights. Lots of long days. Lots of research. Lots of writing. Lots of producing. Lots of voicing. Lots of computer screen time.
Don’t get me wrong. I love doing it. I wouldn’t have started this podcast and blog had I not loved it!
But I also have a day job. Sometimes, it takes up much of my time, especially since I wake up in the early, early hours. By the time I get a little nap, some dinner, do some house chores, I don’t have a lot of time to devote to this small enterprise.
My ultimate goal is that someday, I can devote my full time to this project. Of course, that would take some good old progressive sponsorship, and perhaps some donations.
However, I’m starting this from the ground-up, and I knew this would be more of a public service venture in the near future.
Plus, admittedly, there is a level of selfishness, too! I love giving my opinions and saying what I want to say.
So, I was in need of some rest and relaxation when I could get it. We all need a little time to take a break or else we’ll burn-out.
That’s not to say that I didn’t keep up with the news. I most definitely did, which is why I still shared my opinion on Twitter and Facebook.
That being said, I’m back and ready to do battle! Expect a brand new episode later this week. I’ll be talking with a member of Moms Demand Action–Michigan as this country deals with yet another weekend of bloodshed from domestic terrorism, toxic masculinity, and, of course, gun violence.
Thanks for bearing with me, and for supporting Left of Lansing by listening to the podcast and visiting this site!
Remember: Take the battle to them!
