Here’s this week’s LOL “Shorts,” which I post every Friday right here exclusively on the blog.

I take my cue from this fine article by The American Prospect’s Gabrielle Gurley, which is titled, “Republicans Declare War On Young Voters.“

Even though Michigan had the highest youth voter turnout in 2022, that’s still lower than the 2018 midterms, and it’s only emboldened Republicans to double-down on hurtful and unpopular policies. Plus, they’re fighting to make voting harder for young people!

But here in Michigan, the strong youth turnout helped give Michigan Democrats full control of the state government, and thanks to that strong turnout, Democrats are providing a blueprint for the rest of the country to follow.

Let’s hope national Democrats are paying attention.
